Welcome Parents, Teachers, and Staff to the Nellie Bennett Parent Teacher Organization.

 

The Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School PTO functions to enhance the educational experience for our children by fostering the partnership between parents, teachers and administrators. Our objective is to support the school mission through volunteerism and financial contributions and to facilitate communication.  Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School provides an educational environment in which students, staff, parents, and community work together to ensure that all students learn and meet their full potential. We provide a welcoming and fun environment for all members of the Nellie Bennett family.

The PTO strives to enhance the sense of community by providing a framework for parents to work with their school. We join forces with staff and act as a vital partner with them to enhance the school environment. Teamwork and respect are key motivators for accomplishing our goals.

We are looking forward to a very exciting 2010 – 2011 school year.  We will be striving to meet our PTO budget this year by introducing a new fall fundraising company, Market Day.  Your support of this fundraiser will ensure that our school’s PTO will continue to fund our programs such as assemblies, school trips, scholarships, family fun activities, in-school events, teacher appreciation, and garden committee.
