Take a look at the excellent work students have created in Intro to Web at Point Pleasant High School. Point Pleasant High School offers two web design classes: Intro to Web and Advanced Web Design.

Intro to Web: Learn to create web documents using html, css, graphic design (Photoshop), and animation (Flash).

Advanced Web: Learn to code php, advanced graphic design, blogs, web hosting, and advanced animation/game design.

Borough of Point Pleasant Police Department's Community Watch website launched! Three Intro to Web students: Ryan, Ashley, and Morgan developed the new site in conjunction with the Point Pleasant Police Department and community watch coordinators. The site was developed using Wordpress content management system (CMS) to make the site easy to maintain and update.

Cool Flash animation case study examples

Students located animated advertisements (Flash Ads) on the Web and recreated them using Flash animation software. Mouse over each add to view the animation and click them to visit a website.

Joining a Web Design class at Point Pleasant High School is easy! Just tell your guidance counselor that you want Web Design in your schedule. You can make an appointment at guidance services in the high school or see Mr. Fisher in room 204 to reserve a seat in one of next year's classes. Intro to Web is open to all PPHS students grade 9-12 and Advanced Web is open to students that complete Intro to Web or with Mr. Fisher or Gattuso's approval.

Learn the key skills to develop web sites and web applications. All web design students have the opportunity to develop their own ideas into real web pages and applications (like video games and apps). Learn to use advanced software like Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver in this fun and hands-on class.

Web Design is the art and science of creating web pages. There is a large demand for people that want to work in web design and computer programming. The basic building blocks of web design are html, css, JavaScript, text, images, graphic design, applications (apps), and animation for web sites. There are a lot of great opportunities for people with strong computer skills and experience with web design.
