CHILD STUDY TEAM

This Child Study Team is responsible for identification, evaluation, determination of eligibility, development and review of the individualized education programs and placement for identified students.  The CST also provides consultation with school staff.  Children may be referred for evaluation by counselors, teachers, parents, or the principal.  Intervention & Referral Services provide teachers and parents with documented  intervention strategies prior to referral to the Child Study Team.

PROGRAMS

   Students who are classified as in need of Special Education Services are placed in programs according to an Individualized Educational Plan.  Such programming involves the option of the following programs:

Mainstream for full-day with monitoring

Continuance of regular class with in-class support  

Pull-out replacement in a resource center

Integrated Pre-school with non-classified students attending 

Self-Contained Pre-school Disabilities
